Welcome to Johnson Creek Wildlife
When our family first moved to the neighborhood, we immediately fell in love with Johnson Creek — a ribbon of nature winding quietly through the city.
Curious about the life it supports, we set up a few trail cameras to watch the wildlife that thrives along its banks. What began as simple curiosity has grown into a deep appreciation for the ecosystem right outside our door.
The creek has become our place to unwind — to cool off in the summer, listen to frogs in spring, and watch herons glide through morning mist. It reminds us that nature’s beauty is often hidden in plain sight.
This page is our way of sharing that beauty. We invite you to explore, reflect, and join us in cherishing and protecting Johnson Creek — a living, breathing part of Portland that deserves our care.
Current trail cameras are positioned along Johnson Creek at the marker shown above. Check back for additional sites as we expand monitoring.
